Salary/Position Classification
  • $15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10-20 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Duties include scrubbing pots and pans and loading dishes onto dish machine
  • Responsible for cleaning dishes of Chick-Fil-A, Panda Express, Dakota Deli, University Ave. Pizza, 1883 Grill, Catering, etc.
  • Sorts dishes, silverware, tray and pans, washes them, returns clean dishes to designated storage areas
  • Checks dishes, silverware, trays and pans to insure proper cleaning
  • Operates dish machine according to instructions
  • Follow dish room checklists
  • Other duties may include sweeping and mopping
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary dish room
  • Removes garbage from dish room, rinse and sanitize garbage cans
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to stand for 3-4 hours 
  • Ability to follow instructions

  • Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen 
  • Compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements including taking out jewelry and wearing a hairnet. 
  • Must be available to work during day hours as well as nights & weekends 
  • Able to move 35 - 50 pounds
