Team Overview

In this role you will be responsible for executing new member sales strategies to grow membership and partnership relationships in Alliance Defending Freedom's Church & Ministry Alliance. This includes identifying potential members, conveying the high value of membership benefits, building relationships, networking, and ensuring the success of the membership onboarding process. You will also execute member engagement strategies to meet the needs and retain existing members. Your role is instrumental in ensuring members and prospects understand the value of CMA membership: building relationships, educating members, and encouraging participation with ADF to keep the door open for the Gospel.

Key Responsibilities

New Membership Development and Sales:

  • Proactively develop and manage a diverse portfolio of prospective and current members through strong sales acumen, customer-focused strategies, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Create and execute in-person and virtual relationship-building opportunities to meet sales goals, support ministry growth, and strengthen CMA's presence within key communities.
  • Lead outreach strategies by developing pipelines through referrals, cold and warm leads, and both assigned and self-initiated contacts; conduct targeted calls, emails, and follow-ups to educate and engage prospects.
  • Coordinate and deliver CMA presentations, webinars, events, and educational offerings for prospective and current members, including attendance at denominational gatherings and ministry events.
  • Conduct research to build strategic prospect lists, identify new church and ministry partners, and continuously refine sales skills to support broader CMA goals and initiatives.

Membership Service:

  • Support the Strategic Alliance Director in expanding and maintaining relationships with members and partners, including assisting with partner review meetings that deliver insights on membership engagement.
  • Build and nurture relationships with influential church and ministry leaders across denominations, associations, and organizations to promote and sustain CMA membership.
  • Provide exceptional service to members and partners with a customer-first mindset, supporting membership renewals, internal team needs, and fostering long-term engagement.
  • Develop creative communication and relationship-building strategies to grow member loyalty and advance CMA's mission alongside ADF's broader efforts.
  • Coordinate ADF attorney calls with top-tier members on regional legal topics to educate and equip churches and ministries on key legal and cultural issues.

Operations:

  • Attend all team meetings (weekly, bimonthly, monthly chapel, and 1:1 meetings).
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospect and member interactions, and account progress using CRM software.
  • Accountable for documentation and reporting of sales and member engagement goals.
  • Responsible for displaying and developing ADF core values and core competencies professionally and personally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-5 years of sales or related experience.
  • Ability to travel 25-35% of the time.
  • Skilled in sales, development, and public speaking with diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualification

  • 2-5 years of experience working with churches and ministries.
