Membership Representative

The Membership Representative plays a key role in attracting and retaining members by providing outstanding customer service and fostering meaningful connections. This position focuses on membership sales, engagement, and satisfaction by promoting the benefits of membership, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring a seamless experience for both new and existing members. The Membership Representative must have a strong knowledge of membership options, programs, and facility details. Responsibilities also include processing transactions, maintaining accurate member records, and upholding facility policies while creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Process Memberships & Registrations: Accurately handle new memberships, program registrations, and transactions, ensuring member records are maintained and up to date
  • Engage with Prospective Members: Provide facility tours to showcase amenities, programs, and services, creating a welcoming and informative experience that encourages membership sign-ups
  • Drive Membership Growth & Retention: Meet and exceed monthly and annual membership sales and retention goals through proactive engagement and relationship-building
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding support to current and prospective members through one-on-one discussions, emails, and phone calls, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
  • Manage Prospective Member Outreach: Track and nurture leads from various sources, including tours, walk-ins, phone inquiries, referrals, corporate wellness partnerships, guest passes, membership terminations, and marketing campaigns
  • Implement Follow-Up Systems: Support and maintain systems for consistent prospect tracking, follow-ups, and personalized outreach to increase conversions and long-term member engagement
  • Support Membership Events & Promotions: Assist in special events such as open houses, membership drives, media events, and the annual Community Support Campaign to generate interest and engagement
  • Ensure a Clean & Welcoming Facility: Assist in maintaining a tidy, organized, and inviting environment by monitoring facility cleanliness, addressing member concerns, and collaborating with staff to uphold high standards of presentation and safety
  • Maintenance & Facility Support: Perform essential maintenance tasks as needed, including pool maintenance checks, setting up sports equipment, and cleaning if maintenance staff are unavailable. Ensure the facility remains functional and presentable for members and programs
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with customer service experience preferred.
  • The ability to work well and effectively communicate with a diverse population in a wide variety of situations is required.
  • Confidentiality and excellent organization skills are strongly emphasized
  • 1-2 years customer service experience
