Concast Crew

  • Responsible for operating the coiler, support equipment, banding coils, preparing necessary paperwork for shipment and maintaining required supplies such as pallets.
  • Responsible for operation of mill side and proper operation of the booth.
  • Responsible for all functions necessary to operate the combustion system and melt copper for the operation, including loading the furnaces.
  • Responsible for loading and operation of the Rotary furnace.
  • Responsible for all performing all team operations including but not limited to start ups, roll changes, band changes, wheel changes and cleaning the various parts of the casting operation.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in assigned work area. Complete forms and paperwork.
  • Routinely operates powered industrial equipment including forklifts, skid steers and the silent hoist.
  • Identifies problems in the casting process and completes corrective action.
  • Performs required support function as assigned including installation and removal of launder system, snouts etc., burning bar to clean out furnaces and take temperature readings at the Rotary furnace with temperature reading equipment. Repair refractory as required in snout, launder system etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
