Job Description:
Software Engineering Manager for Medtronic, Inc. located in Northridge, CA. Establish and maintain appropriate governance arrangements for the software application program that ensures the successful implementation of the outcomes derived through change. Lead and Manage the Enterprise Quality Assurance solutions for Medtronic Carelink Portfolio. Lead and collaborate closely with the Quality Engineers across the globe to manage all phases of functional and regression testing solutions. Guide the conceptualization of new methodologies, processes or products. Manage various Delivery of Service Providers (DOSP), including IT contractors, for productivity, collaboration, voice and faxing Services. Work across various global geographies with responsibility for cross functional teams aimed at producing results for Medtronic Business & IT Stakeholders. Leverage Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles including Waterfall, Jira, Agile and Scrum. Lead test automation for implementing test frameworks on web or service-oriented architectures. Leverage knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) testing, test artifacts and defects to approve final delivery of project. Leverage automation testing with Selenium, Cucumber, Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and TestNG. Utilize Git, Jenkins CI for building test pipelines. Leverage various Web technologies to include HTML and Java script. Responsible for Cloud Computing leveraging Amazon AWS, Scaling, Load Balancer, Amazon Glacier, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Route53, Cloudwatch, and CloudTrail. *Position works a hybrid model, requiring the employee to be onsite in Northridge, CA 4 days per week.
Salary: $165,000 - $175,000
Job Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications or related engineering or technical field, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in Software engineer for Digital and Cloud space or related occupation.
Must possess at least two (2) years' experience with a master's degree with each of the following:
โ€ข Managing service delivery
โ€ข Working across global geographies and managing cross functional teams
โ€ข SDLC including Waterfall, Jira, Agile, and Scrum.
โ€ข Leading test automation for implementing test frameworks on web or service-oriented architectures.
โ€ข Software QA testing, test artifacts, and defects.
โ€ข Automation testing with Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, and TestNG.
โ€ข Git & Jenkins CI for building test pipelines.
โ€ข HTML and Java script
โ€ข Amazon AWS, Scaling, Load Balancer, Amazon Glacier, VPC, Route53, Cloudwatch, and CloudTrail
Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience in Software engineer for Digital and Cloud space or related occupation in lieu of a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience

Salary range for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $165,000.00 to $175,000.00
Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
