Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Medicare Training Specialist and play a vital role in enhancing the knowledge and skills of our healthcare professionals and internal teams. This energetic position involves designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on Medicare policies, regulations, and best practices. You will be a key driver in ensuring that our staff stays informed, compliant, and equipped to serve our clients effectively. Duties

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs on Medicare products, including Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Supplemental plans.
  • Conduct onboarding training for new agents, brokers, and internal staff.
  • Provide ongoing education on CMS guidelines, compliance requirements, and regulatory updates.
  • Develop training materials such as presentations, manuals, job aids, scripts, and e-learning modules.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and webinars.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, testing, role-play exercises, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure agents understand enrollment periods (AEP, OEP, SEP) and eligibility guidelines.
  • Partner with Sales, Compliance, and Operations teams to align training with company objectives.
  • Monitor industry changes and CMS updates to maintain accurate and compliant training content.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to improve agent performance and product knowledge.
  • Maintain detailed training records and ensure completion of required certifications (AHIP, carrier certifications).
  • Support readiness initiatives prior to Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).

Requirements

Education & Licensing

  • Active Health & Life Insurance License (required).
  • AHIP Certification (required).

Experience

  • 3–6+ years of experience in Medicare sales, training, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement plans.
  • Experience training agents, brokers, or sales teams.
  • Familiarity with CMS regulations and compliance requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex Medicare concepts into easy-to-understand training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and virtual training platforms (Zoom, Teams).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to track training metrics and evaluate performance outcomes.
