Job description

Description

Location: UCHealth Leprino Building AMC, Aurora, CO

Department: UCHlth Pharmacy Administration

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  

Shift: Days 

Pay: 25.80 - 38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary: 

Supports system wide pharmacy procurement activities and related strategic initiatives to optimize product selection and cost savings.

Responsibilities:

  • Pharmaceutical procurement, shortage management and operational analytics to optimize costs and efficiencies across the system. Work with local pharmacy teams to make recommendations and execute actions for procurement and savings opportunities
  • Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including pricing discrepancies, product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management and vendor support.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, regulatory and patient safety standards.
  • Support pharmacy strategic initiatives within scope of procurement functions

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • PHATP (Pharmacy Technician Provisional) certification from State Board of Pharmacy. PHAT (Pharmacy Technician) certification from State Board of Pharmacy within 18 months of hire. 
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of Pharmacy Technician or Buyer experience.
