The Matthew Smith Agency is hiring for a Medicare Specialist. Currently one of the biggest, strongest agencies in Missouri located in Columbia, Missouri.

We're looking for a knowledgeable and driven Medicare Specialist to join our growing insurance team and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.


The Medicare Specialist acts as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through every step of the Medicare process from education and eligibility assessment to plan selection and enrollment while ensuring an exceptional customer experience that promotes long-term client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities
  • Educate and guide clients through Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plans.
  • Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend suitable coverage options.
  • Assist clients with enrollments, renewals, and plan changes.
  • Stay current on Medicare regulations, compliance requirements, and carrier offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and follow-up.
  • Work independently and/or with a team to meet individual and agency sales goals.
Requirements
  • Licensed in Life, Health, Accident in the state of Missouri (required)
  • 1 year of experience with Medicare products preferred but not required
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and Prescription Drug Plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and online quoting tools
