Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing Waste Medic’s accounts in multiple markets. You will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service possible at all times.



Education and Experience:
 Education equivalent to graduation from high school, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating the ability to read a map, interact professionally with various levels of internal/external customers, and portrait a strong professional appearance and attitude at all times and in all situations. You must maintain a current required drivers license, with an accident free driving record preferred. You must have experience driving up to a 26 foot box truck and maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certification along with being drug free. This job requires constant mental and visual attention relative to the safe operation of the vehicle.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Manage assigned routes ensuring customers’ waste is picked up in a timely and accurate manner.
 Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations as instructed by direct supervisor.
 Inspect and load trucks to properly service accounts for the day. Driver must properly secure all waste, supplies, material handling equipment and lock access doors prior to operation of the vehicle. The driver must maintain a clear understanding of our routing and manifest technology ensuring all assigned paperwork is completed legibly, neatly, accurately, and completely and returned to Driver Supervisor.
 Driver will be responsible for maintaining a DOT Driver Log, if applicable.
You will be expected to communicate with Driver Supervisor regarding any change to route pickups, including address changes, customer not having waste ready for pickup, etc. 
You will be required to inspect the truck for any maintenance that may need to be performed on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing for the day and report to Driver Supervisor. You must be able to lift up to 60 pounds. May require mandatory immunizations, random drug/alcohol testing and possible credentialing based on customer requirements.
