At Slocum Orthopedics the Medical Assistant is a liaison between the patient, the physician and other medical support staff.

Works closely with the physicians and other team members.Responsible for efficient patient flow and organization of work area. Assists with all medical procedures. The responsibilities include following the patient from the time of arrival for an appointment through departure from the office, making sure all the patients' and doctor's needs are met to provide the best physician/patient experience as possible. Helps provide patient education.
