Job description

Job Title: ServiceNow Consultant Location: Leesburg, VA Type: Contract Compensation: 70-90/hr W2 Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications with emphasis on Service Catalogs and Request Workflows within ITSM and HRSD modules.
  • Write and maintain clean, efficient scripts using JavaScript, Flow Designer, and Business Rules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate requirements into robust ServiceNow solutions.
  • Stay current on ServiceNow platform upgrades, new features, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and training to platform users as needed.
  • Implement and troubleshoot Access Control Rules (ACLs) to support secure, role-based access.
  • Configure and support ServiceNow Discovery to automate asset and service mapping.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of ServiceNow development experience, including system configuration and scripting.
  • Active Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and delivering Service Catalog items, including complex workflows.
  • Proficiency in ITSM and HRSD modules.
  • Strong knowledge of ACLs, form-level and field-level security.
  • Hands-on experience with Discovery configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID servers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Resides in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area (preferred).
  • Experience in agile development environments (preferred).
  • Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as SPM, ITOM, PSDS, HAM, or SAM (preferred).
  • Experience connecting separate ServiceNow instances (eBonding) (preferred).
