$83,400.00 - $137,100.00

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Immunoassay Sales Specialist who will be responsible for sales of automated Immunoassay instruments and their related consumables in the assigned territory. The Immunoassay Sales Specialist will develop and execute strategic plans for the assay solutions portfolio to increase sales and grow market share in the territory.

The Immunoassay Sales Specialist is a field-based sales role responsible for supporting customers throughout the Great Lakes Territory (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee). To effectively support customer needs, the ideal candidate will reside within the territory, with preference given to candidates currently based in one of the covered states.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a commission plan and long-term incentive package of stock grants based on individual performance and company performance, in accordance with company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods
  • Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts
  • Work closely with the full Commercial Team to ensure we provide a coordinated approach to customers and promote all the solutions Bio-Techne can provide.
  • Field sales located in the assigned territory and visiting customers 75% of the time
  • Familiar with standard scientific methods, techniques, reagents & equipment relevant to Bio-Techne's product line
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for both instruments and reagents in the Immunoassay Product Lines
  • Use SalesForce.com to manage all active leads, customers, and opportunities. Dashboards will be used to track progress and KPIs
  • Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision
  • Ensure that customers understand the value proposition, features & benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of all relevant products

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in the Life Science tools space w/ 2+ years selling in related market and space.
  • Immunoassay experience highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills.
  • Knowledge of reagents, laboratory techniques, methods and equipment used in research, development, and production of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics
  • Ability to speak with customers on a technical level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving
  • Proficient in listening, understanding and questioning; and ability to translate that information to a value proposition for the customer
  • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and Salesforce.com a plus
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence; a self-starter
  • Capable and interested in working in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, independent, with a strong desire to succeed.
