Job description

The Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing and growing Beck Oil's market share, profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting fuel programs to commercial clients, managing customer accounts, and achieving sales targets. The Sales Representative will maintain and grow customer relationships and technical fulfillment of products and services by executing strategies for growth, customer retention, competitive displacement, and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers, often businesses with vehicle fleets, to understand fuel needs and promote solutions.
Sales and Account Management: Meeting sales targets, compiling weekly sales recaps, tracking achievements and losses, and maintaining competitive market information. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Database and Reporting: Updating customer records, tracking business activities, and reporting sales metrics to supervisors or management.
Client Support: Providing professional service, assisting clients with issues at fueling sites, and coordinating with terminal operations when necessary.
Territory Coverage: May require travel within a designated region to visit clients, while others are office-based with field engagement.
Customer Contact: Serves as primary point of contact for assigned clients, resolves issues and complaints.
Collaboration: Collaborates internally with multiple departments including Operations, Credit & Senior Management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years' previous sales experience, customer service, or sales within the petroleum or fuel distribution industry is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organization, with attention to detail, and ability to use computer systems for database management. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment is valued.
  • Driving: Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history and reliable vehicle.
  • Communication: Must have excellent oral and written communications and effective customer relations skills.
