Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Producing assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures manually and repetitively, removing completed assemblies
  • Reading check sheets and prints to determine specifications, such as parts and fixtures to be used, placement of parts, dimensions and tolerances, proper labeling of parts, etc., and accurately completing all required functions to ensure only quality product is produced and shipped to customers.
  • Understanding and application of all assembly techniques used in weld, torch, plasma, etc.
  • Thorough understanding and application of welding and cutting processes required in manufacturing of product.
  • Understanding and application of robotic welding including but not limited to: basic programming, clearing faults, troubleshooting faults, basic computer programming for robotic weld cells, ability to train new employees on robot.
  • Thorough understanding of welding and cutting gases and welding electrodes.
  • Change over product verification and first article inspection.
  • Troubleshoot errors with the assistance of maintenance or programmer.
  • Performing maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping per established schedules
  • Hand tool usage is required, but not limited to: calipers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment as required.
  • Work and communicate in a team environment.
  • Preform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate, and highly productive manner according to company policy.
  • Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.
  • Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis. Maintain good attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent courses in welding operations (manual and/or robotic) with a Level II Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment with manual or robotic weld operation and set-up
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • N/A

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Basic to intermediate math skills to analyze information and measuring equipment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to train others
