About this Opportunity:

This Automation Maintenance Technician will effectively monitor and resolve production department mechanical and automation issues. This position will establish and perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve productivity throughout the facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain robotic cells, PLC systems, and automated production equipmentย 
  • Independently recover robotic systems including:ย 
    • FANUCย 
    • Universal Robots (UR)ย 
    • NACHIย 
    • DENSOย 
  • Perform robot recovery operations including:ย 
    • Teach pendant operationย 
    • Point correction and motion recoveryย 
    • TCP and frame adjustmentsย 
  • Diagnose integration issues between robots, PLCs, safety systems, and production equipmentย 
  • Perform root cause analysis on automation and robotics failuresย 
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiativesย 
  • Maintain CMMS documentation and technical recordsย 
  • Follow 6S and safety standardsย 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiativesย 


Requirements

  • 2+ years hands-on experience in industrial automation maintenanceย 
  • Direct experience with robotic automation systems in a production environmentย 
  • Experience troubleshooting and recovering robotic or automation-driven production cellsย 
  • Familiarity with teach pendant operation (any major platform: FANUC, UR, NACHI, DENSO, ABB, Yaskawa, etc.)ย 
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsย 
  • Ability to diagnose PLC, motion, and safety system interactionsย 

Preferred Experience

  • FANUC or similar industrial robot programming/recovery experienceย 
  • UR cobot setup, programming, or safety configuration experienceย 
  • TCP/frame calibration and robot program modificationย 
  • High-volume manufacturing or regulated industry experience (medical preferred)ย 
  • High-uptime production environment where robotic downtime directly impacts outputย 
  • Multi-platform robotic automation systems across multiple facilitiesย 
  • Independent ownership of robotic recovery events with minimal escalationย
