About this Opportunity:

This Automation Maintenance Technician will effectively monitor and resolve production department mechanical and automation issues. This position will establish and perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve productivity throughout the facility.




Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain robotic cells, PLC systems, and automated production equipment
  • Independently recover robotic systems including:
    • FANUC
    • Universal Robots (UR)
    • NACHI
    • DENSO
  • Perform robot recovery operations including:
    • Teach pendant operation
    • Point correction and motion recovery
    • TCP and frame adjustments
  • Diagnose integration issues between robots, PLCs, safety systems, and production equipment
  • Perform root cause analysis on automation and robotics failures
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives
  • Maintain CMMS documentation and technical records
  • Follow 6S and safety standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives




Requirements:
  • 2+ years hands-on experience in industrial automation maintenance
  • Direct experience with robotic automation systems in a production environment
  • Experience troubleshooting and recovering robotic or automation-driven production cells
  • Familiarity with teach pendant operation (any major platform: FANUC, UR, NACHI, DENSO, ABB, Yaskawa, etc.)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to diagnose PLC, motion, and safety system interactions

Preferred Experience

  • FANUC or similar industrial robot programming/recovery experience
  • UR cobot setup, programming, or safety configuration experience
  • TCP/frame calibration and robot program modification
  • High-volume manufacturing or regulated industry experience (medical preferred)
  • High-uptime production environment where robotic downtime directly impacts output
  • Multi-platform robotic automation systems across multiple facilities
  • Independent ownership of robotic recovery events with minimal escalation
