Job description

A complex litigation Personal Injury law firm seeks a Paralegal with excellent administrative skills to support their Medical Malpractice Trial Partner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST have a minimum of 3 years Plaintiff's Medical Malpractice paralegal experience.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Will be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Are Proactive with your case load.
  • Review medical records and make highlights where note worthy.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines a must.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the scheduling of depositions, mediations, etc.
  • Requesting reports and other necessary documentation for open cases.
  • Preparing Deposition Notices, HIPAA letters, subpoenas for medical records, etc.
  • Intake clients and speak to witnesses to gather information.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Discovery process.
  • Obtain, organize, and analyze case-related documents and records.
  • Identify and coordinate expert witnesses.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including compiling a trial notebook and coordinating witnesses.
  • Assist attorneys during trial.
  • Maintain all information regarding client matters in the case management database.
  • Completing other duties as assigned
