Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where compassionate care and professional growth are valued. This Student Nurse Intern role offers hands-on experience under the supervision of a licensed nurse, focusing on medical oncology and inpatient treatment. You will assist with patient care tailored to individual developmental needs, supporting daily living activities such as hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, skin care, and repositioning.
  • Assist with feeding, monitor dietary restrictions, and document nutritional intake.
  • Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake/output accurately.
  • Support wound care, dressing changes, and skin management interventions.
  • Perform technical nursing procedures within credentialed scope, including oxygen therapy, catheter insertion/removal, IV discontinuation, suctioning, injections, and NG tube maintenance.
  • Communicate closely with primary nurses and promptly report any changes in patient condition.
  • Document all care activities thoroughly in medical records.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and foster teamwork.

Education: Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education without licensure.
