Responsibilities

Prepare patients for their office visits by guiding them to examination rooms and assisting with necessary preparations for provider evaluations, treatments, and follow-ups

Ensure examination and treatment rooms are properly stocked and ready for use, including supplies, instruments, and equipment

Assist dermatology providers with procedures, such as minor surgeries, dressing changes, and suture removals, demonstrating knowledge of sterile techniques

Receive lab results, verify and document findings in medical records, and maintain pathology logs

Administer and document medications, samples, and prescriptions within the electronic medical record system, following established protocols

Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results, procedures, and care instructions, providing written materials as needed

Schedule tests or procedures, and relay results or follow-up instructions to patients after consulting with providers

Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all communications and documentation

Manage Ipledge registrations, transfers, overrides, and perform data entry tasks accurately

Keep examination rooms and office areas clean and organized, notifying management of supply needs

Provide excellent communication and customer service, handling patient concerns professionally and compassionately

Support office operations by responding to administrative requests and assisting with front desk duties as required

Adhere to safety, OSHA, and compliance policies, demonstrating professional behavior and dress standards at all times
