Front Desk Receptionists are the first point of administrative contact for patients in the office, performing a variety of functions, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and checking them in and out.
Essential Functions
  • Adheres to the Our Mission Statement, Credo, Service Goals, and Values, always providing exceptional customer service.
  • Greet and welcome patients as they arrive for their appointments.
  • Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by ensuring the collection of all necessary documentation for treatment, and accurately collects and applies payments for services and products.
  • Answer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette; direct calls as necessary.
  • Facilitates patient flow by notifying clinical staff of patient arrivals, monitoring for delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff, checking patients in and out for their appointments.
  • Keeps office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs and monitoring office equipment.
  • Learns new products and maintains an accurate inventory of all items.
  • Ensures a positive experience for each patient through excellent customer service practices.
  • Verifies patient health benefits with approved health care companies.
  • Sends out and receives medical records and referrals for patient care.
  • Keeps the reception area clean and organized.
  • Works in a team environment to accomplish common tasks in a collegial manner.
