Radiologic Technology Instructor - Sherman Oaks, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Hybrid Work Schedule
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Occasional evenings/weekends during busy periods)
Excelon Associates is recruiting on behalf of a higher education institution seeking an experienced and dedicated Radiologic Technology Instructor to join its allied health department. This full-time faculty role offers the opportunity to teach and mentor students across classroom, laboratory, and clinical environments, ensuring they develop both the technical expertise and compassionate approach required in the field of diagnostic imaging.
The successful candidate will be an engaged educator who demonstrates a commitment to student learning, professional growth, and collaboration within a diverse academic community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in Radiologic Technology according to established curricula and academic standards.
  • Design dynamic, engaging instructional environments that promote student success.
  • Guide and mentor students in theory, lab, and clinical components of the program.
  • Maintain regular office hours for student advising and academic support.
  • Participate in ongoing curriculum development, assessment of learning outcomes, and program improvement initiatives.
  • Incorporate multimedia and innovative teaching technologies, including virtual and augmented reality, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with faculty and department leadership to strengthen program quality and student outcomes.
  • Engage in professional development and stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and clinical practices.
  • Support accreditation activities, advisory board meetings, and institutional initiatives.
  • Use the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and other educational platforms to facilitate instruction and evaluation.
  • Contribute to program review, student recruitment, and community engagement activities as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Health Science, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • California Department of Public Health Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred:
  • Prior teaching experience in higher education or clinical instruction.
  • Advanced modality certifications (CT, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, etc.).
  • Experience with radiology information systems (RIS, PACS, Epic) and familiarity with HIPAA compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging technologies in instruction (e.g., simulation, AR/VR).
  • Strong commitment to student development, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
