Job description

Overview and Responsibilities

Baptist Health Sciences University's Medical Radiography program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). 

The university seeks to hire an Instructor (Masters Pending) for the Medical Radiography program at Baptist Health Sciences University. The person in this role will assist with administering the Medical Radiography program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Standards; assess the clinical competency of Medical Radiography students; cooperate with the program faculty in periodic review/assessment, and revision of clinical course materials as needed; and demonstrate knowledge of clinical education content for a bachelor's degree medical radiography program. 

This position is under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean for the Allied Health Division and/or general direction of the Program Chair for the Medical Radiography program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) from an accredited institution in radiography or a related discipline appropriate for college teaching
  • Documents three years' clinical experience in the professional discipline 
  • Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography. 
  • An ideal candidate will also have at least one additional post-primary ARRT Certification in an advanced modality, preferably Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance (MR).
