Position Summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital is seeking a qualified IOP Program Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Greenville and Cleveland, MS. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral health services in an outpatient setting, including group, individual, and family therapy, while supporting patients through the continuum of care.

The Program Therapist plays a critical role in treatment planning, case management, and discharge coordination, ensuring patients achieve optimal clinical outcomes and successful reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide group, individual, and family therapy in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients with appropriate community resources
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team (physicians, nursing, case management, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission (JCAHO), and facility policies
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the medical record
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and performance improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field
  • Current licensure in Mississippi as one of the following:
    • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
    • LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
    • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting
  • Experience in IOP, inpatient psychiatric, or outpatient mental health programs
