Manager Medical Practice - Endocrinology - Fishkill, NY

Summary:

The Manager Medical Practice is responsible for providing leadership, management, and oversight to their assigned medical practice(s). The Manager Medical Practice collaborates with the clinicians and staff to optimize patient flow/processes, reduce errors, and improve access to service and the patient experience. In addition, the Practice Manager will support the staffs; ability to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. The Practice Manager is responsible for managing and meeting key performance indicators related to growth, practice operations, patient access/experience, quality, and finance.

Responsibilities:

1. Manages the day-to-day operations of the medical practice.

2. Develops and implements short-term and long-term goals in conjunction with practice leadership to grow the business.

3. Manages provider scheduling templates, hours/days of service, no-show rates, and cancellations to ensure appropriate patient access to service based on health system standards.

4. Manages and monitors staffing levels to established system benchmarks, participates in staff hiring process, SBAR development, staff orientation, performance reviews and any corrective action.

5. Proactively solve problems, administrative issues, or patient complaints in a timely manner.

6. Trains and educates staff to ensure compliance with health system policies and procedure, compliance program and any federal/state regulations.

7. Ensures that all revenue cycle processes are clear and well-executed to support a positive patient experience as well as efficient and accurate billing.

8. Holds monthly meetings with clinicians and staff and communicates any practice or health system changes and solicits feedback from the team members.

9. Meets with clinicians monthly to review dashboard results. Works collaboratively with Physician Leads to develop action plans for meeting or exceeding KPIs and productivity.

10. In conjunction with practice leadership, develops capital needs list, reviews operating budgets, and ensures that budgets are met.

11. Manages and maintains medical practice physical plant, equipment, and inventory control.

12. Provides guidance and assistance with scheduling new provider interviews, on-boarding, and any health plan credentialing activities, where applicable.

13. Maintains and Model the Organization values.

14. Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position

15. Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience:

Bachelors degree required or equivalent experience. Requires three to five (3-5) years progressive management experience in a medical practice or integrated health system. Prefer: Masters Business or Healthcare Administration (MBA or MHA).

Other Information:

Requirements: Strong interpersonal, telephone and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite required). Working knowledge of practice management and electronic medical record software systems. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range: $33.21 - $61.68 Hourly
