About the "Department"

  • The laboratory at Montrose Regional Health is fully accredited by the Joint Commission of Accredited Healthcare Organizations and registered by the State of Colorado. It is staffed by certified medical technologists and technicians working under the supervision of two full-time pathologists.

About The Career:

  • Responsible for lab order computer entry, report retrieval, mailing reports, etc. Responsible for answering the telephone, stocking supplies, running errands, packaging, mailing, and general cleaning. Assists the Laboratory Coordinator with off-shift duties for laboratory send outs. The Lab Courier is responsible for driving to the clinic sites and physician offices to pick up laboratory samples and transport samples back to the MRH lab. The Lab Courier is responsible to the Phlebotomy Supervisor, Lab Manager, and the Pathologists.
