  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • The medical lab technician performs a variety of laboratory tests, procedures and related duties, in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, by following established standards and practices. Includes issue resolution in the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases. The medical lab technician is responsible for the orderly processing of patient specimens during the assigned work shift. This includes specimen collection, testing, processing, and reporting of accurate results. The technologist maintains active communication and strengthens collaborative relationships among the clinic medical and nursing staff, and other lab staff.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related field
    • Minimum Experience
      • Required clinical internship in an MLT approved program
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • MLT(ASCP or equivalent) OR registry eligible
