Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the team at in Grand Rapids, MI 49503. This is a 39-week contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary

The Medical Technologist/MLT performs clinical laboratory testing, analyzes specimens, reviews results, maintains quality standards, and ensures accurate and timely reporting in accordance with laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze patient specimens using approved laboratory procedures.
  • Review, verify, and release accurate test results.
  • Perform and document QC, calibrations, maintenance, and corrective actions.
  • Identify testing issues and troubleshoot or escalate problems appropriately.
  • Report STAT and critical results according to department procedures.
  • Maintain accurate testing records, reagent logs, and documentation.
  • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety requirements.
  • Participate in proficiency testing, training, and continuing education.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, reagents, and department readiness.
  • Assist with regulatory inspections and other laboratory projects.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other departments.

Required Qualifications

  • ASCP or AMT certification required.
  • Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory QA/QC procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and handle a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with multiple laboratory systems.

Additional Information: Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Shift: Day shift: 06:30 AM - 3:00 PM Schedule: 40 hours per week (5x8 shifts) Contract Length: 39 weeks Travel Gross Pay: $2200 - $2320/Week *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
