Midland Medical is now hiring Medical Liaison in Oakland Park, FL

Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift  Tuesday- Friday 7:45am -5:00pm; Saturday 7:45am-1:00pm

Pay Rate: $25/hr

What You'll Do

Medical Liaison is responsible for the performance of a combination of administrative and clinical tasks within the clinic setting. Provides patient care under the direct responsibility and supervision of a Medical Provider, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Physician Assistant (PA) depending on local state regulations. Works as part of the multidisciplinary team, to enhance patient's quality of life and wellbeing. This position works closely with the providers under the direction of the Clinical Manager.

  • Promote and practices Midland Medical's mission and values and follows its policies and procedures.?
  • Perform patient triage including the assessment of vital signs and measurement of anthropometric measures, and reviews patient chart to ensure all necessary documentation is present, current, and complete to facilitate visit with the provider visits.?
  • Assess information obtained through telephone encounters, go over symptoms to determine proper management. (Self-care, in-office visit or ER).?
  • Prescribe medication request refills from pharmacy or patient on behalf of the provider. (all non-controlled meds).?
  • Assist patient with medical supplies requests, assigns DME company, preparing records of medical necessity. Navigate patients referred to Physical therapy.?
  • Perform SDOH assessment, navigate patients, create notes and add procedure codes.?
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations and/or procedures and assists the provider accordingly.?
  • Prepare and administers medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections - including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)?
  • Conduct tests and procedures as directed, such as EKG's, urine dipsticks, glucometer, etc.?
  • Assist provider with minor surgical procedures (wound care, suture, and staple removal, etc.)?

Administrative Duties:

  • Assists with Patient Care Coordinators (PCC's) - Front desk, and Health Information Management (HIM) duties when required.?
  • Performs administrative duties.?
  • Performs billing and coding of services.?
  • Obtain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) reports from outside providers and upload to patient chart.?

Requirements

Education/Professional:

  1. Highschool diploma or equivalent (GED)?
  2. Medical Assistant Certification issued by an accredited institution approved by the local state, or a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a health care setting.?
  3. Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) Certification?
  4. Electronic Medical Records training?
  5. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver's license.
