Position: Medical Science Liaison, Immunology – Admilparant

Location: Field – N. OH

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for identifying disease and product related medical needs in a defined geography. The primary role involves developing and maintaining relationships with thought leaders (TL) and healthcare providers (HCP) within the healthcare system, facilitating scientific exchange, ensuring patient access to BMS medicines, and serving as an external medical resource.

Key Responsibilities External Environment and Customer Focus

• Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders within a given geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR related questions.
• Use various interaction channels (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.).
• Demonstrate proficiency in available scientific resources and presentations.
• Effectively present information to TL/HCPs and respond to questions, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines.
• Assess the medical landscape by meeting with TL/HCPs/Access Stakeholders to understand their needs.
• Continuously update knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, and health economics outcomes research.
• Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models to address customer informational needs.
• Identify partnership opportunities with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) aligned with BMS priorities.
• Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings.
• Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to support strategy development and business decisions.

Contribute to the Medical Plan

• Develop geography-specific Field Medical and TL interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and TL needs.
• Adopt institution/account planning approaches and contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans.
• Contribute to development and delivery of scientifically meaningful medical programs/projects aligned with the local Medical and Field Medical plan.

Provide Medical Support

• Establish a customer‑centric, compliant collaboration with cross‑matrix field teams within the assigned geography.
• Support initial and ongoing medical/scientific area and product-specific training and provide key scientific updates to internal stakeholders (Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR, Value Access & Payment).
• Provide scientific support at promotional meetings, including evaluating speakers and supporting BMS‑contracted speakers.
• Participate in assigned Congress activities.

Support Clinical Trial Activities

• Support interventional and non‑interventional research (NIR) studies to facilitate patient recruitment and discuss safe use of BMS investigational products.
• Provide recommendations and insights to the clinical development team on study and site feasibility.
• Support HCPs in the ISR submission, execution, and study follow‑up processes.
• Ensure investigators understand and apply BMS Pharmacovigilance procedures and report adverse events.
• Actively support CRO‑sponsored studies as agreed with the global development operations.

Position Requirements

• MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with disease‑area expertise or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• Knowledge of disease area, scientific publications, competitive landscape, and patient treatment trends.
• Understanding of clinical trial design and processes.
• Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment.
• Knowledge of HEOR core concepts.
• Excellent English language skills, spoken and written.

Desired Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment.
• Prior MSL experience.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Skill to translate scientific data into valuable form for physicians.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop peer‑to‑peer relationships with TLs, scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Rapid and comprehensive learning of new subject areas and environments.
• Demonstration of BMS Values.

Essential Qualification

• Proficiency in driving a company‑provided vehicle and traveling between locations.
• Responsible and safe driving history with high ethical standards.

Travel Requirement

• Travel is required.
• Field‑based; must live within or within 50 miles of the territory.
• Majority of time spent in the field with external customers.
• Additional requirements may apply based on territory assignment and team needs.

Compensation Overview

Field – United States – US: $166,090 – $201,262

The starting compensation range is for a full‑time employee. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities, based on eligibility, may be available. Final compensation is determined by demonstrated experience and qualifications.

Paid Time Off
