Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Supervisor to oversee and coordinate front office operations, ensuring efficient workflows, accurate scheduling and collections, and an exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of medical front desk experience and 1+ year of management experience, with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and healthcare administrative skills. ASC scheduling experience is highly preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Pay: $19-$20/hr
  • Location: Warren, MI 48092
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily front office operations, including patient check-in/out, scheduling, collections, and workflow consistency.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate front desk staff.
  • Ensure compliance with copayment, coinsurance, deductible collection, insurance verification, and eligibility processes.
  • Manage staffing schedules, PTO requests, and cross-coverage among clinic locations.
  • Monitor front office performance through scorecards, KPIs, and performance reports.
  • Review collection reports, payment posting, and ABN compliance.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments and proactively manage waitlists and open appointment slots.
  • Ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled at checkout or appropriately documented in the patient's chart.
  • Address patient escalations and resolve customer service concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to maintain accurate information and seamless workflows.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Conduct team meetings, training, and development activities.
  • Provide performance updates and reports to the Practice Administrator.
  • May participate in hiring, corrective action, and termination activities for assigned staff.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical front desk experience
  • At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of insurance verification, copay and deductible collection, and patient billing practices
  • Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively lead front office operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Office Management, or related field
  • ASC scheduling experience
  • Experience supervising or managing front office operations across multiple locations
