Job Description
Theย Senior Electrical Engineerย will act as an electrical/electro-mechanical expert supporting and leading various engineering assignments to ensure business continuity ofย Capital Systems and Handheld Devices. The role involves working cross-functionally on electrical hardware and software engineering activities related to product enhancements, regulatory compliance, quality improvements, process simplification, and cost optimization.ย 

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and coordinate engineering changes related toย electrical hardware and softwareย aspects of capital systems and handheld devices.
  • Lead and supportย field root cause investigations and resolutions, including gap analysis, production troubleshooting, and product/process validation.
  • Collaborate withย cross-functional teams and suppliersย to align priorities and successfully execute projects.
  • Ensure projects comply withย regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO, MDR)ย and company policies.
  • Ensure safety and critical performance of products in accordance withย medical device electrical safety standards.ย 

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree inย Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.ย 

Required Experience:

  • Minimumย 5+ years of experienceย in Electrical Engineering withinย R&D environments.
  • Experience translatingย customer needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience withย embedded electrical design.
  • Strong electrical analysis skills and system/subsystem integration understanding.
  • Experience inย root cause analysis, verification/validation testing, and creating test protocols.
  • Hands-on experience debugging electrical systems usingย oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Strongย communication and leadership skillsย with the ability to manage projects and risks.
  • Experience working inย medical device or highly regulated industries.ย 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge ofย IEC 60601 medical device electrical safety standards.
  • Experience withย prototype design, simulation, and testing.
  • Experience solvingย technical manufacturing issues.
  • Programming experience withย LabVIEW, C, C++, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience working inย Agile environments.ย
