Short Intro and About the Job

This is a full P&L, country leadership role responsible for building, scaling, and transforming Danone's Medical Nutrition business in Canada.

The Country Manager will own the end-to-end Canadian commercial model-defining strategy, leading execution, and delivering sustainable, profitable growth while navigating a complex regulatory and reimbursement landscape.

This position acts as the single point of accountability for national performance, translating global strategy into local market success while shaping long-term growth.

You will lead a triple growth mandate:

  • Accelerate the core Nutricia (Neocate and Meta/Keto) and Functional Formularies portfolio
  • Scale Pepticate into a durable growth pillar across OTC and Rx
  • Launch and establish Kate Farms across OTC and Rx

What You Own

Accountable for all national operations, financial performance, and market expansion

  • Full Canada P&L (revenue, margin, investment allocation, ROI)
  • National business strategy, operating plan, and execution roadmap
  • End-to-end commercial model across all channels:
    • HCP / hospital / outpatient
    • Retail and pharmacy
    • E-commerce / digital
    • Public reimbursement and payer systems
  • Portfolio management (core optimization + new product launches)
  • Market access, pricing, and regulatory outcomes
  • Talent strategy and organizational capability build

Key Responsibilities

1. Set and Execute the Canada Strategy

  • Develop and execute a country-specific business strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Translate strategy into clear growth plans, KPIs, and resource allocation
  • Continuously assess market trends, competition, and policy shifts to adapt strategy

2. Deliver Triple-Engine Growth

  • Drive sustained growth across:
    • Nutricia and Functional Formularies existing portfolio
    • Pepticate (scale to core revenue contributor)
    • Kate Farms (new platform build)
  • Own financial targets and performance delivery, including revenue, profitability, and share growth

3. Lead Launch Excellence & Portfolio Expansion

Lead new product introductions and portfolio development

  • Define and execute best-in-class launch strategies for new products
  • Prioritize portfolio investments and lifecycle strategies
  • Ensure successful commercialization and long-term brand scaling

4. Build a Modern, Dual Demand Engine

  • Integrate:
    • HCP-driven demand (Rx, hospital, rare disease)
    • Consumer demand (OTC, digital, retail, e-commerce)
  • Drive marketing and sales effectiveness across all channels
  • Strengthen customer engagement and experience

5. Lead Market Access, Pricing, and Regulatory Strategy

Oversee regulatory compliance and payer engagement as core responsibilities

6. Own Operations & Cross-Functional Execution

Compensation, Benefits & Hiring Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $190,000.00 to $225,000.00 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.
