Job Description Medical Biller Plano, TX Overview: Our practice is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to support billing operations for pain management, neurosurgery, and orthopedic surgery procedures. This role combines direct patient support in pain procedure clinics with full-cycle billing responsibilities, including claims processing, denial management, and provider credentialing. Position Offers: Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Friday, 8:00 AM-12:30 PM Competitive pay: $22-$26/hour (DOE) Health, dental, and vision insurance Generous PTO Paid holidays End-of-year productivity bonus Key Responsibilities: Support pain procedure clinics by checking in patients, providing procedure preparation and discharge instructions, and monitoring patients during recovery Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations, verify eligibility and benefits, and calculate patient out-of-pocket costs Collect surgical deposits and set up patient payment plans Review CPT and ICD-10 codes for accuracy, and prepare, review, and transmit insurance claims (electronic and paper) Post charges and patient billing; follow up on unpaid claims, and research and appeal denied claims Correspond with insurance companies to resolve payment discrepancies, identify secondary/tertiary insurance, and review accounts for follow-up Answer patient and insurance inquiries, and provide scheduling coverage assistance as needed Credential providers with Medicare/Medicaid and contracted payors, including Medicare revalidation, CAQH profile maintenance, and negotiations with non-contracted payors Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in pain management, neurosurgery, or orthopedic surgery billing Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, HMO/PPO, and other payer requirements Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding; experience with pain management coding strongly preferred Why Join Us: Join a team where your billing expertise directly supports patient care in a specialized pain management setting.
