Our #LifeatRealChem culture is rooted in our people-we believe we are best together and are committed to excellence for both our clients and colleagues. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your career, if you share our passion for healthcare and connection, we invite you to explore our opportunities.
Discover your purpose. Embrace innovation. Experience #LifeatRealChem.
Real Chemistry is seeking a talented and dynamic Medical Content Lead to join our growing medical communications team. This role is an excellent opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge, high-impact scientific content that elevates medical education and advances patient outcomes.
As a Medical Content Lead, you'll leverage your expertise in medical writing and scientific storytelling to drive impactful deliverables across multiple therapeutic areas. You'll partner with cross-functional teams, and cultivate strong client relationships to ensure excellence in all aspects of our work.
This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices- New York City, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Carmel (IN), or Lambertville (NJ)-or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the development of high-quality, scientifically rigorous content across a high volume of deliverables, including complex projects, brands, and/or therapeutic areas, working independently with minimal input needed from senior-level reviewers
  • Provide strategic input to clients and internal teams on scientific messaging, differentiation with competitors, impactful data inclusion and interpretation, and educational needs
  • Challenge and refine project briefs, as appropriate, to ensure that deliverables are tactically relevant, strategically sound, and scientifically robust
  • Guide less-experienced medical writers on content structure, data interpretation, referencing, and alignment with strategic imperatives, informally supporting their development
  • Harness strong interpersonal skills to develop and strengthen key relationships with clients and key opinion leaders across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Leverage experience on assigned accounts/therapeutic areas to make proactive recommendations to clients regarding content enhancements or new deliverables or approaches that support organic growth
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client guidelines and industry regulations
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned-duties and responsibilities may relate to business development, departmental or agency-wide initiatives, and more

This position is a perfect fit for you if:
  • Our company values-Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always, and Accountability with an "I"-really speak to you
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can adapt to shifting priorities with resilience and resourcefulness
  • You are a strategic thinker with a passion for diving deep into scientific data and distilling actionable insights in a compelling and compliant manner
  • You are a natural leader and team player, with a positive, solutions-oriented, and client-focused approach to challenges

What you should have:
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare communications within an agency, with a demonstrated track record of developing high-quality deliverables
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline (PhD, MD, or PharmD preferred)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive scientific narratives tailored to diverse audiences, including primary care physicians and specialists
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across diverse accounts, maintaining high-quality standards under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat as well as familiarity with online proofing platforms (eg, Workfront Proof, Ziflow) and Veeva Vault
  • Proficiency with AI tools and resources to facilitate research and develop content in an efficient and responsible manner

Pay Range: $90,000 - $125,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
