Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia.

Cardiac ICU / Critical Care RN

Position: RN โ€“ Cardiac/Critical Care
Shift: Nights โ€“ 12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hrs/week
Contract: 22 weeks
Setting: Acute Care
EMR: MEDITECH
Local Rule: Strict 75-mile radius restriction
 

Responsibilities
  • Provide critical care to high-acuity cardiac patients.
  • Care for patients following cardiac catheterization/interventional procedures.
  • Manage patients with STEMIs and post-code conditions.
  • Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac patients.
  • Care for patients following Interventional Radiology procedures when assigned.
  • May care for Medical ICU or Surgical ICU patients when ICU bed availability requires floating.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in MEDITECH.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
  • At least 1 previous travel assignment required.
  • Strong cardiac/critical-care background required.
  • Experience with cardiac procedures, Cath Lab interventions, STEMIs, and post-code patients required.
  • BLS โ€“ AHA required.
  • ACLS โ€“ AHA required.
  • NIHSS required.
  • Active RN license required.
  • BSN not required.
