Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a clinical and non-clinical setting. This position requires proficiency in various medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit.


Duties


  • Assist with patient intake, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.

  • Answer phones and schedule patients

  • Perform basic life support and emergency procedures when necessary.

  • Conduct X-Ray procedures and ensure proper handling of imaging equipment.

  • Assist with patient consents and paperwork

  • Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including coding for insurance purposes.

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are available for procedures.

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Requirements


  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.

  • Proficiency in medication administration and basic life support certification.

  • Experience in emergency medicine or inpatient settings is preferred.

  • Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to patient care.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
