Job description

Envirotrol is seeking an HVAC Apprentice for our Charlotte, NC location. In this role, you will travel regularly meeting scheduled and non-scheduled service requirements including modular product installation, module start-up, and also warranty claims. This position requires extended time and overnight stay out of state. The technician is responsible for the quality of his work, ensuring it is acceptable by both EAS and customer standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and install all types of EAS-produced products
  • Troubleshoot and repair AHU issues
  • Travel and physically resolve warranty claims
  • Perform unit start-up
  • Complete and submit correct timesheets and expense reports
  • Install modular products
  • Assist with High Point production when no service work is scheduled
  • Understand and follow QA-QC standards
  • Weld shipping splits of modular products
  • Understand and inspect electrical installations per the national electrical code
  • install and inspect all aspects of control systems
  • Read and understand mechanical, electrical, and control drawings

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • This position will be supported by on-the-job training and continued education training
  • Minimum five years of experience in this industry or a related field is required

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Personal computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good documentation and communication skills.
  • Vision for success and the ability to develop quality staff members
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills, coaching, and problem-solving
  • An advanced understanding of product design and operation
  • Accept every challenge to meet product specifications
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes
  • The ability to coordinate multiple projects, people, and functions.
  • Skilled in plant safety and construction requirements
