We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic, a leading orthopedic outpatient facility located in Rochester, New York. In this critical role, you will work closely with patients as they navigate their recovery journeys, aiming to restore their mobility and enhance their overall quality of life. Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic is proud to offer cutting-edge physical therapy services in a spacious 5000 square foot sports medicine facility. Our clinic specializes in orthopedic care, focusing on both the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal issues. We are a close-knit team of healthcare professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Work Environment

This position is located in our outpatient rehabilitation facility, where you will engage with patients directly in an onsite setting. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fulfilling your passion for helping others. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to recognize individual rehabilitation goals and needs effectively.
  • Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized, quality care.
  • Implement and adjust cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at improving patients' mobility and function.
  • Develop comprehensive care plans that integrate a variety of rehabilitation techniques.
  • Minimize dependence on medications by advocating for non-invasive alternative treatments and therapies.
  • Facilitate the implementation of customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet each patient's specific needs.
  • Motivate and inspire patients throughout their treatment process, fostering an environment of positivity and encouragement.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of treatment efficacy, maintaining open communication with patients regarding their progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions and services provided in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patient demographics, helping them regain their strength and functionality through tailored therapy sessions.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
  • No disciplinary actions or board actions against your professional license.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
  • Strong skills in creating effective and engaging exercise routines to facilitate recovery.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, and the ability to use them efficiently to manage patient data.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
