What is a medical camp?

A medical camp is a temporary healthcare setup organized to provide free or low-cost medical services to people in a specific community or region. These camps are often held in underserved or rural areas where access to regular healthcare is limited. Services typically include basic health check-ups, consultations, health education, vaccinations, and distribution of medicines. Medical camps are usually staffed by volunteer doctors, nurses, and support staff, and are run by hospitals, NGOs, or government agencies. The main goal is to address immediate health needs and promote awareness about preventive healthcare.
