Job description

Total Safety is looking for a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join their safety conscious team! Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver will be receiving inbound purchases, stocking items, timely and accurate order fulfillment and timely order processing are just part of the requirements for customer satisfaction from our Warehouse Team. You will also be required to drive a company vehicle at times for local deliveries.

  • Prepares and expedites shipments
  • Determines method and mode of shipment based on customer requirements
  • Compares identifying information on outgoing shipments to verify product and counts match outbound shipment documentation.
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and equipment
  • Follow labeling requirements for each customer
  • Proper operation of material handling equipment to safety and production requirements

Role qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent
  • Operation of Forklift and Cherry Picker
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Provide quality control for all outbound orders for accuracy.
  • Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol test
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Clean and active driving record- current valid Drivers License
  • Time management to complete all regularly scheduled tasks on a timely basis.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Essential skills and experience:
  • Organized and time management skills
  • With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret packing slip.
  • Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
