Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant to join our client’s healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients, supporting providers, and being an important part of a busy medical office.


Position Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for provider appointments
  • Take and document patient information and vital signs as directed
  • Draw up injections and prepare medications for administration
  • Answer incoming calls from patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist patients with questions and direct calls appropriately
  • Prepare and organize patient charts prior to appointments
  • Assist providers and clinical staff with daily patient flow
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation
  • Follow office policies, clinical protocols, and infection-control procedures
  • Provide friendly, professional service to patients and staff


Qualifications

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience required 1-2 years minimum
  • Medical Assistant diploma or state certification
  • Valid BLS certification required through the American Heart Association
  • Strong clinical and patient-care skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
