For our services, we have been recognized as one of the nation's top 100 performing home health agencies by HomeCare Elite.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLINICAL FIELD SPECIALISTThis position is responsible for providing clinical expertise, training, and support to home healthcare professionals, including nurses and caregivers, to ensure the safe and effective delivery of healthcare services in patients' homes. This position plays a crucial role in promoting best practices, optimizing patient outcomes, and enhancing the quality of care provided in the home setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Key Responsibilities:Serves as the primary preceptor for new Homecare RNs in the Rutland & Bennington County service areasTakes action to ensure technical competency of clinical staff by assessing individual learningLeads/coordinates and/or serves as an in-house educational consultant to assist clinical teamsAssists with clinical staff training coursesProactively collaborates with the Clinical Educator and Clinical Management team to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities/programs/projectsProvides educational support and/or structure for new employeesEnsures clinical staff are practicing within the policies and procedures of VNAHSRServes as homecare and/or hospice field RN as directedPerforms competency assessments for aides and clinical staffEvaluates educational curriculum and collaborates with Clinical Educator to adjust and update as necessaryQUALIFICATIONS:Registered nurse with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred. Minimum of two years clinical acute care nursing experience preferred with home care experience and/or previous case management experience in a home care setting required. Experience teaching adults in a clinical setting preferred. Valid Vermont State Nursing license required. Valid state driver's license required. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment driver record, criminal, adult and child abuse background check/review required.
