Job description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Facility: North Memorial Health Clinic - Brooklyn Center
Address: 5615 Xerxes Ave N Suite D, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430
Contract: Permanent
Shift: Days - 8 hours 
Hourly Range: $22.23 - $27.37 (based on years of experience)

The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive and delegated tasks as described in the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Clinical Care:
The Medical Assistant will assist with customer flow by performing rooming processes, administering immunizations, injections, and medications as directed, and collecting laboratory specimens. Additional duties may include telephone support, communication between customers and providers, prescription refills, x-ray duties (if certified), phlebotomy, and clinic lab tests.

Clinic Support:
Support may include front desk/check-in, ordering and stocking supplies, and assisting with prior authorizations.

Other:
The Medical Assistant will demonstrate proficiency in required skills, maintain skill updates, and accept additional duties to support organizational goals. The position takes direction from the Physician, Registered Nurse, Clinic Supervisor, and Manager.

Adheres to North Memorial’s Corporate Code of Conduct, ensures privacy, reports concerns, and complies with legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
