Job description


Medical Assistant, Back Office
We are a busy and growing Foot & Ankle surgeonโ€™s office seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This position is primarily back office and is best suited for someone who is organized, dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced physician practice.
This position will rotate between two Dallas office locations, so reliable transportation and flexibility to work at both locations are required.
The ideal candidate has strong clinical support experience, is confident rooming patients, documenting accurately, assisting with procedures, and helping providers stay on schedule. Experience with eClinicalWorks is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
  • Document patient history, chief complaints, medications, allergies, and other visit information in the EMR
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures
  • Assist with X-rays, DME dispensing, and related documentation as needed
  • Prepare, clean, and restock treatment rooms
  • Clean and sterilize instruments according to office protocols
  • Maintain clinical supplies and communicate inventory needs
  • Support patient flow and help keep the clinic running on schedule
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Provide excellent patient service with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail
  • Assist with limited administrative support when needed, such as scanning documents, responding to clinical messages, or helping during high-volume periods
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or outpatient clinical setting
  • Foot and ankle, orthopedic, podiatry, or surgical practice experience is a plus
  • eClinicalWorks experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable documenting clearly and accurately in an EMR
  • Strong communication and patient service skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment
  • Dependable, professional, and willing to help the team where needed
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy standards
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft 365 and accurate typing
  • Ability to work well with providers, coworkers, and patients
Office Hours
Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
