Overview
Heritage Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for resident care and strive to providing high-quality services.
Duties
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
  • Assist residents with ADL's (activities of daily living) and personal care; including, but not limited to, bathing, grooming, meal assistance
  • Monitor/Record/Report Vital signs
  • Support residents in Assisted Living and specialized units such as Memory Care
  • Assists with healthcare procedures as necessary within state regulations
  • Utilize electronic medical record efficiently and properly
  • Communicate appropriately with residents, resident families, and staff member
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents

Requirements
Requirements:
  • Qualified Medication Adie in the state for which you are applying
  • Insulin Certification preferred, not required
  • Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or caregiving, is preferred, not required
  • Ability to provide compassionate care
  • Current CPR/First Aide certification preferred *if not certified, willing to obtain through the company
