About Us:
Construction Health & Safety Services is the premier provider of site safety and first-aid services to construction sites throughout the United States. We utilize Paramedics and EMTs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for construction workers.
Position Overview:
The Site Safety Medic is responsible for the health and safety of the construction site. You will work closely with the general contractor's Site Safety Manager and provide world-class patient care while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. You will also manage the follow-up care to make certain the patient receives appropriate care for a rapid recovery. In addition to the health responsibilities, you will act as a site safety officer to ensure workers are performing their duties in a safe and compliant manner. As an ambassador of safety, you will also conduct site safety orientations along with daily safety walks. This position requires someone who is detailed oriented and can work independently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide world-class patient care while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
Facilitate appropriate follow-up treatment, liaison between urgent care and other health care professionals.
Respond to patient emergencies in the clinical setting and arrange transportation for more serious injuries.
Work closely with the Site Safety Manager.
Provide additional training and/or competencies.
Conduct site safety orientations
Conduct site safety inspections
Conduct CPR and first aid training
Qualifications:
Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (Paramedic license optional)
Current CPR Provider
Proficient with MS Office, primarily: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Proficient with Apple's iOS platform
Desired Qualifications:
OSHA 30 hour
Safety Trained Supervisor through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
6 years emergency medical experience
CPR/First Aid Instructor
2 years of construction site experience Bilingual in English and Spanish
