Medstar Medical Transport is a leadership company that happens to do transportation. We are seeking a Facility Patient Transportation Technician who is a certified EMT to join our team. In this role, you will be the in-house transportation provider and scheduler for one of our skilled nursing and rehab center business partners in Prescott, Arizona. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of service we provide to the clients in that specific facility.

Position Overview:
As an EMT-B with Medstar Medical Transport, you will primarily provide non-emergency medical transportation services, including stretcher transports, for patients traveling to and from appointments and the healthcare facility base in Prescott, Arizona You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity while in transit. Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport: Safely transport patients to and from healthcare facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Patient Care: Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to clients, addressing any needs or concerns they may have.
  • Navigation: Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and report any issues with the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and fuel usage, and ensure that all paperwork is completed as required.
  • Assistance: Help clients in and out of the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with leadership, other EMTs and NEMT drivers, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Professionalism: Represent Medstar with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Certification: Current EMT-B certification in the state of Arizona (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Must be at least 25 years old to be eligible for insurance coverage unless you have an EMT certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Prior NEMT or EMS experience preferred but not required.
  • Clean Driving Record: 36-month clean driving record (no more than one recorded incident) and no DUIs in the last 5 years.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients of all backgrounds.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to assist clients in and out of the vehicle, and handle any necessary lifting or carrying. Must be able to lift 150lbs and be able to push clients up ramps in wheelchairs and stretchers.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Provide Fingerprint Clearance Cards
