Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient VoIP/VTC Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support NETCOM in providing real-time Internet Protocol (IP) networking services for voice and video to over 1,200,000 Army CONUS subscribers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for secure VoIP/VTC systems, while strictly adhering to DoD cybersecurity and RMF standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
  • Support NETCOM in providing real-time Internet Protocol (IP) networking services for voice and video to over 1.2 million Army CONUS subscribers.
  • Handle all aspects of Operating and Maintaining (O&M) secure VoIP/VTC systems, encompassing end-user devices, hardware, and software.
  • Support NIPR and SIPR VTCs as well as both Unclassified and Classified meetings.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide advanced technical support for customer VoIP solutions.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
  • Provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) and eMASS support to the Cybersecurity team.
  • Manage paperwork and documentation for Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) DRAs/POA&Ms, Authority to Operate (ATO), and RMF.
  • Provide STIG support and implement new STIG requirements to maintain a secure and compliant operational environment.
  • Interact with DoD security professionals to ensure that proper information assurance (IA) controls are successfully implemented.
Engineering, Strategy, and Technical Leadership
  • Evaluate and formally report on new communications technologies.
  • Recommend technologies and strategic approaches to achieve long-term organizational objectives.
  • Develop concepts, products, or technologies to extend technical expertise within the team.
  • Act independently on technical matters and remain self-sufficient in executing complex tasks.
  • Interact directly with customer representatives to resolve advanced technical issues.
  • Compose and deliver high-quality reports, documentation, and presentations.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days of hire
0 Years w/BS/BA, 2 years w/Associates Degree, 4 years w/o BS/BA
Provisioning, securing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting multi-vendor VTC technologies.
Technical expertise in: Video Teleconference (VTC), Application Aware Firewalls, Video Communication Servers (VCS), Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Telepresence Management Suite (TMS), Polycom Multipoint Control Units (MCUs), Distributed Media Application (DMA), and/or VTC codecs.

Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
