Job Summary:
The Media Sales Representative plays a vital role in Sosland’s sales team by identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities through channels such as phone, email, and online platforms. This dynamic position is "hunter" focused on proactive lead generation, outbound prospecting, and driving sales closures. By contributing to the company's growth through print and digital advertising sales, the Media Sales Representative expands Sosland’s reach and achieves revenue targets. The Media Sales Representative will be given a starter book of business with established customers and a prospect list. This is an outside sales position with competitive base salary and uncapped commission potential. High performers have significant opportunity to exceed earning targets year over year.
This role is a hybrid work position with some time required in the Kansas City office. Travel, including onsite sales calls and trade show attendance, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation:
  • Research and identify potential leads across multiple channels, including online resources, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop and execute robust lead generation strategies to build a high-quality pipeline of qualified prospects.
Outbound Prospecting:
  • Initiate outbound communication (calls, emails, social media) to engage with potential clients and create lasting business relationships.
  • Effectively present Sosland's products and services, tailoring pitches to client needs and securing interest.
Sales Process Management:
  • Understand client needs and craft solutions that align with their specific requirements, demonstrating how Sosland’s offerings can add value.
  • Oversee the sales cycle from first contact to deal closure, maintaining an organized record in the CRM system for an efficient process.
  • Skillfully negotiate contracts and close deals, consistently meeting or surpassing sales targets.
Communication amp; Relationship Building:
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with potential leads and existing clients, ensuring frequent and meaningful communication.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
Reporting amp; Performance Analysis:
  • Track sales activities, performance metrics, and results to monitor progress and optimize strategies.

Additional Responsibilities:
