How do you engage stakeholders in a world where platforms, audiences, and behaviors are constantly changing? Join Altria's Corporate Communications team and help shape the strategies, channels, and digital experiences that connect our enterprise narrative with the audiences who matter most.
We are currently seeking a Manager, Social & New Media to join our Corporate Communications team in Richmond, VA or we are open to remote work arrangements.
You will lead channel strategy, governance, and performance across Altria's corporate social media and emerging communications ecosystem. You will help social and new media channels support enterprise communications strategies, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and advance corporate reputation priorities.
What you will be doing:
  • Coordinate the enterprise communications calendar, providing visibility into audience impacts, channel utilization, timing, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Facilitate sequencing across communications teams to avoid conflicts, improve coordination, and optimize the timing of enterprise communications.
  • Coordinate communications brief-in, triage, and routing, engaging partners to clarify requests and elevate prioritization or resource needs.
  • Execute and improve measurement systems, dashboards, reporting, and analytics that assess communications effectiveness and progress against enterprise goals.
  • Support communications technology, including media monitoring, Adobe communications tools, reporting systems, and related operational infrastructure.
  • Maintain the Corporate Communications budget and support effective coordination with vendors, technology partners, and business stakeholders.

We want you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in social media, digital communications, digital marketing, public relations, corporate communications or related field.
  • Experience developing and managing social media strategies across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and other social media and emerging channels.
  • Experience with executive social media, paid social, employee social media activation, audience engagement, and/or community management.
  • Experience partnering with content creators, agencies, digital media partners, or platform providers.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing emerging communications channels, technologies, and engagement approaches.
  • Experience analyzing channel performance and audience behavior, then translating insights into actionable recommendations.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $119,600.00 - $173,450.00.
