Your Mission:

This role supports the development and maintenance of strong partnerships with Federal and State agencies, including MI Works/SC Works, MEDC/SC Department of Commerce, and local educational institutions. The position is responsible for conducting outreach efforts, both through cold calling and in person visits, to recruit students for training programs and to promote career opportunities in manufacturing. Additionally, the role provides administrative support to multiple departments, including Human Resources, Recruiting, and Training, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.


Explore the Depth of the Role:

  • Planning and scheduling of facility tours with local area high schools, technical centers, and colleges to promote manufacturing. 
  • Assist in recruiting efforts for training programs, using creative methods to ensure best possible candidates are aware of training opportunities. 
  • Ability to give presentations to both large and small groups; to provide clear information and understanding of programs and answer any questions in detail to maximize recruiting efficiency. 
  • Assist Director of Keel in writing proposals to procure grant funds. 
  • Scheduling potential students for assessment testing. 
  • Monitor current student performance, acting as an advisor/counselor to unlock students' full potential.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Mission Readiness:

  • High School Diploma, college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative office experience.  
  • Three to five years' experience working in a recruiting capacity with high schools and technical centers.  
  • Technical writing experience a must, experience in procurement of grant dollars (cradle-to-grave).
  • Type 55 wpm, advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Associate's degree in business related field.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.). Excellent organizational and communication skills.  
  • Experience with ERP Systems a plus.
  • Must be able to interact well with others, strong reasoning ability and comprehension skills. 
  • High attention to detail, accurate, hardworking, and able to work with minimal direction. 
  • Ability to take direction from multiple individuals and prioritize.  
  • High energy level, contagiously positive personality, and ability to multi-task.  
  • This position requires the individual selected to be flexible with the ability to adapt to ever changing conditions.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent.

Physical Requirements:

  • Potential prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times (e.g., files, office supplies, etc). 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or reach within the office setting.
